Bangpra International Golf Club

Thai golf tourism started here in 1958. Bangpra is the Eastern Seaboard's old master — tall trees, fast old-school greens, resident monkeys, and time-band pricing that rewards an afternoon tee time.

HOLE 04 — GETTING THERE

From your hotel to the tee

North on Sukhumvit (Route 3) or Motorway 7 toward Chonburi, exit Bang Phra — ~28–30 km / 40 min from central Pattaya.

No car? Bolt/Grab work for daytime rides (a verified ฿400–450 one-way to the Motorway 7 courses); for dawn tee times use a fixed-fare golf taxi (~฿2,000–2,900 round-trip with waiting) or ride a society bus — transport's included in their day price. The transfer playbook →

HOLE 05 — STRAIGHT ANSWERS

Asked every week

Is Bangpra really Thailand's oldest course near Pattaya?

It's the oldest on the Eastern Seaboard by decades — opened 1958 by Japan Golf Promotion to launch Thai golf tourism. Only a handful of Thai courses (Royal Hua Hin, 1924) are older. The front nine was redesigned in 1987, the Tourism Authority upgraded it in 1988, and JMP refreshed it later — vintage bones, modern surfaces.

Can you walk Bangpra?

Yes — carts (฿600) stay optional and the parkland walks easily with a caddy (฿350). One of the best walking rounds near Pattaya.

What does Bangpra cost?

Time-band pricing: weekday ฿2,050 before 8:30 falling to ~฿1,550 after 11:30; weekend mornings ฿2,850, afternoons ฿2,050. The rate card was last dated Nov 2024 and still listed unchanged in 2026 — treat as indicative and confirm direct. Caddy ฿350, cart ฿600.
